I do Body Pump and Body Attack. I don't think I can get a better workout unless I hire a personal trainer. I'm a lot less likely to work out as hard as I do in these classes if I'm on my own.
Hi
I have been weight training (bodypump classes) for five months and am beginning to see some definition in my body (I have lost 32 pounds and have 32 pounds to go). I need to up my exercise and wonder what mix of cardio/weight training I should be doing and how often.
Today, I did a one hour bodypump class (all weight lifting using a bar and various weights working all muscle groups) and then followed it with a 30 minute hill program on the elliptical. It was tough but it felt good.
I am planning on doing the above twice a week and the aerotone once a week and tae-bo/walking twice a week. Does that sound good?
Thanks in advance for any tips.

Thanks for your reply. I agree that it's the most difficult class I have ever done and really pushes you to the max. We also have body combat at my gym but it's on a Sunday morning so I have never managed to make it.
I have started entering a tough interval program to my elliptical workout and a spinning class to my routine. I try for 3 hard cardios a week and 1 or 2 steady slow burns a week. On top of that 2 sessions of weights each for upper and lower body with heavy enough weights that I can only do 8-10 reps. In theory the weights aren't "fat burning" but my definition has improved immensely as I add heavier weight.
